Death toll from road accident in Kryvy Rih rises to ten

The death toll from a road accident in Kryvy Rih has risen to ten after one more passenger died in a local hospital early on Wednesday, April 25, the media liaisons office of the main directorate of the National Police in Dnipropetrovsk region has reported. 

"Another 13 injured people are still in hospitals. One more bus passenger, a man born in 1959, died in a Kryvy Rih hospital early this morning," the report says.

As reported, nine people were killed and 18 more were injured after a Mazda car, a passenger van and a bus collided at the intersection of Metalurhiv Avenue and Heroiv ATO Street in the center of Kryvy Rih on April 17. 

The police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3, Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of rules related to traffic or driving safety by a person that drives any vehicle).

Law enforcers handed a Mazda driver a written notice of suspicion in committing the crime. On April 20, a court decided to place him into custody without the right to post bail.
