President signs law on Ukraine-Croatia cooperation on disaster management

President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law ratifying the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Croatia on the cooperation in the field of disaster management, the president’s press service reports.
“President Petro Poroshenko has signed the Law of Ukraine “On the ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Croatia on cooperation in the field of disaster prevention and liquidation of consequences. The agreement was signed in Kyiv in November 2016,” reads the report.
The document envisages principles and framework of cooperation between Ukraine and Croatia in the area of disaster prevention and liquidation of consequences, as well as defines the forms of assistance that can be provided by the parties for these purposes.
In particular, countries can send assistance teams, experts, equipment, aid means, as well as share relevant information and experience.
