Avalanche risk still remains in Ukraine’s Carpathian region

On March 15, a considerable avalanche danger still remains in Zakarpattia region of Ukraine.

The State Emergency Service reported this with a reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.

“On March 15, a considerable (III) level of avalanche risk is expected in mountainous areas of Zakarpattia region,” the report reads.

In addition, a wet snow avalanche occurred in Ivano-Frankivsk region on March 13. Nobody was hurt.
