Blast in Donbas kills two, wounds five Ukrainian servicemen

Two Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and five more wounded in the Luhansk sector in Donbas after their equipment tripped an unknown explosive device, the press center for the headquarters of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine has reported on Facebook.

"Today, on January 17, while on a combat mission in the Luhansk sector, two servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed after their equipment tripped an unknown explosive device. Five more of our warriors were wounded. They are in satisfactory condition. All of them were promptly taken to a local hospital, where they are being provided with necessary medical care," the report says.

The causes and details of the accident are being clarified.
