Emergency Service: 2,808 explosive devices disposed near Kalynivka

“As of 7 a.m. on October 19, no fire or explosions were recorded in the territory of the warehouse. The explosive ordnance disposal teams of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (74 people and 27 units of equipment) continue cleaning of the territory from explosive devices in a 2-kilometer zone surrounding the depot. The territory of 27,351 hectares has been cleared, and 2,808 explosive devices have been detected and disposed,” the press service of the State Emergency Service reports.

As earlier reported, the fire broke out at the ammunition storage in Kalynivka of Vinnytsia region on September 26. Almost 30,000 local citizens were evacuated from the dangerous area. Two people were injured in the incident. Explosions ceased on September 28.
