Bad weather leaves 70 towns and villages in Ukraine without electricity

A total of 70 towns and villages in Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Lviv and Kirovohrad regions were left without electricity as a result of adverse weather conditions on Monday, September 4.

This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"On September 4, bad weather conditions (rain, thunderstorm, wind gusts) caused blackouts in 70 populated areas in five regions of Ukraine, particularly, 30 villages and towns in Poltava, 22 – in Sumy, 10 – in Cherkasy, 7 – Lviv and 1 – in Kirovohrad region," the report reads.

Emergency teams of Oblenergo have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply.
