Kyiv records its hottest July night in last 137 years

Saturday night, July 22, was the hottest Kyiv night in July since city weather records began 137 years ago.

This has been reported by the Central Geophysical Observatory.

"The temperature at night in Kyiv didn’t drop below 22.7 degrees Celsius, which means that the previous record for this date, which was set in 2001, has been exceeded by 0.2 degrees Celsius," reads the report.

This is the first temperature record of this July, which is marked by a sharp increase in temperature.
