Foreign Ministry checking information about Ukrainians among victims of attack in St. Petersburg subway

The Consulate General of Ukraine in St. Petersburg, Russia, is taking operative measures to find out whether there are citizens of Ukraine among the dead and injured as a result of the explosion in the St. Petersburg subway.

Official representative of the Consular Service Department of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Vasyl Kirilich said this in a commentary to Ukrinform.

"As of 4 pm, there was no official information about the dead and injured as a result of the explosion in the St. Petersburg’s subway. The Consulate General of Ukraine in St. Petersburg is taking operational measures to find out whether there are citizens of Ukraine among the dead and injured," Kirilich said.

At least thirteen people have been killed, another twenty have been injured in the explosion in the St. Petersburg subway this afternoon.
