Bad weather leaves 20 towns and villages in Lviv region without electricity

Adverse weather conditions left 20 populated areas in Lviv region without electricity, the State Emergency Service reports.
“Overnight into January 16, bad weather conditions (wet snow, icing) caused blackouts in 20 populated areas [in Lviv region]. Emergency teams of Oblenergo have started to conduct needed repairs to resume electricity supply,” reads a report.
In general, 3, 996 warming centers, including 100 from the State Emergency Service, are open in the region. Aid has been already rendered to 37,505 people (779 people a day).
