Foreign Ministry confirms death of 3 Ukrainian crew members in AN-26 crash

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has confirmed that three crew members, who were on board of AN-26 cargo aircraft, have died today in a crash in Bangladesh.

Yevhen Ihnatovsky, a spokesman of Ukraine's Foreign Ministry consulate service, told Ukrinform.

“Three citizens of Ukraine, out of four crew members, have died as a result of the crash. The fourth one has been rescued and is in an emergency condition in the hospital,” Ihnatovsky said.

As earlier reported, the AN-26 aircraft, with four Ukrainians aboard, crashed off the coast of Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh on Wednesday. The AN-26 aircraft is owned by the Ukrainian URGA airline. The plane was leased to a local Bangladesh company.
