Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on Ukrainians to come to the polls on Sunday, October 25.

He stated this in a video address on his Facebook page.

"The right of the people of Ukraine to their own opinion is sacred! They do not need a blessing from politicians and nothing prevents us from just talking openly with you. On October 25, at a polling station, I will ask you five important questions about what we discuss on the street, in the kitchen and on the Internet; what we argue about with our friends, parents or taxi drivers; what we have never been asked before," Zelensky said.

At the same time, the president promised to disclose these five questions later.

"For the first time in the history of independence, we ask you: what do you think? Why is your answer important? Because it will be as you decide. Because Ukraine is you! Sunday, October 25 - come and decide," Zelensky added.

The Verkhovna Rada scheduled regular local elections in Ukraine for Sunday, October 25.
