Two thirds of current VR again running for parliament - OPORA

307 current people’s deputies from multi-member constituencies and single-member constituencies are running in early parliamentary elections.
Oleksandr Neberykut, an analyst at the Civil Network OPORA, said this at a press conference held at Ukrinform on July 1.
"As to the structure of the lists and those individuals nominated as candidates from multi-member constituencies and single-member constituencies, there are 307 people's deputies, which means that almost two thirds of the current Verkhovna Rada are running in the 2019 early elections," he said.
According to him, one third of these people’s deputies again are on the lists of different parties, while 192 people’s deputies are candidates from single-mandate constituencies, mostly self-nominees.
As reported, Ukraine’s snap parliamentary elections are scheduled for July 21.
