Most Ukrainian Canadians support Poroshenko in elections

Incumbent Head of State Petro Poroshenko wins in the first round of the presidential elections at all three polling stations in Canada.

As an Ukrinform correspondent learnt from the members of the election commissions, 152 people gave their votes for Poroshenko in Ottawa, 432 – in Toronto, and 110 - in Edmonton.

In Ottawa and Edmonton, Volodymyr Zelensky became the second with 41 and 50 votes respectively, while Anatoly Hrytsenko won the second place in Toronto as he received 154 votes. In general, Hrytsenko took second place (223 votes), Zelensky was the third (213 votes).

At the same time, the highest turnout was in Edmonton (26%). In Ottawa, slightly more than 25% of the voters included in the list came to the polling station, while in Toronto - only 18%.
