Over 60% of Ukrainians consider voting in elections their civic duty — poll

It is evidenced by the results of the the All-Ukrainian public opinion poll, which was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology from March 14 to March 22.

Thus, according to the poll, 60.7% of respondents believe that voting in the presidential election is a civic responsibility of every citizen of Ukraine. At the same time, 35.5% of respondents support the thesis that participation in the election is a personal matter and those who do not vote cannot be blamed.

Answering the question “Do you know where is your polling station?”, 86% of respondents say that they know exactly its location. At the same time, 10.8% of respondents think that they know, and 2.9% do not know where the polling station is located.

The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology conducted the All-Ukrainian public opinion poll from March 14 to March 22, 2019. A total of 2,004 respondents were interviewed in 126 populated areas of all regions of Ukraine (except for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions). The statistical error does not exceed 3.3% for indicators close to 50%; 2.8% - for indicators close to 25%; 2.0% - for indicators close to 10%; 1.4% - for indicators close to 5%.
