Three-fourths of Ukrainians ready to sacrifice their day off for sake of elections

"74% of those polled said they were ready to sacrifice their rest in order to vote in the election. At the same time, 16% hold the opposite view and will most likely spend time with their friends and will not go to elections if they have to choose one option," the report says.

According to the report, the greatest number of the latter are among the youngest respondents (18-25 years old - 34%, 26-35 years old - 23%), as well as among those who will vote for the first time (30%) and rarely participate in elections (45%).

According to the poll, 82% said they knew exactly where their polling station was located.

At the same time, the relatively lower level of awareness of the place of voting is recorded among junior citizens, residents of Kyiv and Donbas, as well as those who vote for the first time or vote very rarely.

The report notes that only 18% of those polled have already checked the presence of their surname on the voter list.

Some 44% of respondents said that they usually vote in the morning - from 08:00 to 12:00, 22% - from 12:00 to 15:00, 10% - from 15:00 to 18:00, and only 5% - after 18:00.

The survey was conducted by the Rating Sociological Group during March 1-7, 2019. A total of 5,000 respondents aged over 18 were interviewed. The poll's margin of error does not exceed 1.5%.
