CEC registers 19 more international observers to monitor presidential elections
The Commission approved a relevant decision at its meeting on Tuesday, March 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
Thus, the Central Election Commission registered 15 official observers from the World Congress of Ukrainians, three from the international non-governmental organization CANADEM and one from the International Republican Institute (IRI).
Thus, as of March 5, the Central Election Commission registered 418 official observers from international organizations and foreign states.
In addition, the Central Electoral Commission registered two more observers from the All-Ukrainian public organization Advanced Legal Initiatives to monitor the election process abroad.
Thus, as of March 5, the CEC registered 30 official observers from public organizations.
As reported, the presidential election campaign started on December 31, 2018. On February 8, the CEC completed the process of registration for the post of head of state in Ukraine's presidential election. A total of 44 presidential candidates were registered.
