Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Center for Energy Research, made this statement in comments to Ukrinform.

“Given the capacity currently available in our system, if temperatures remain above +35 for two and a half to three weeks, certain restrictions may be necessary. They won’t last for a particularly long time. We’re talking about the evening hours, when restrictions would be appropriate for a maximum of 2–3 hours,” said Kharchenko.

At the same time, he noted that at temperatures ranging from +30° to +34°, the Ukrainian power grid will be able to operate without implementing rolling blackouts.

As reported by Ukrinform, dry and hot weather will persist in Ukraine on August 5. In most regions, daytime temperatures will reach 35–38°, while only in the east and northeast are temperatures of 30–34° expected.
