The National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom has reached the midpoint of its scheduled maintenance campaign.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated by acting CEO Pavlo Kovtoniuk, as reported by Energoatom’s press service.

“We have approached the middle of the planned preventive and mid-cycle repairs. Some power units at the Khmelnytskyi and Rivne nuclear power plants have been returned to operation after repairs, while work continues or will begin according to schedule at others,” Kovtoniuk said.

He added that maintenance is also ongoing at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant.

“Importantly, all work is being carried out ahead of schedule: planned preventive repairs are currently being completed on average four days earlier than planned,” he noted.
