Ukraine allocates UAH 22B for regional resilience plans, seeks additional funding – Kuleba
According to Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba said this at a meeting on the implementation of regional and city resilience plans.
Kuleba posted on Facebook that systematic preparations for the next heating season began as early as February. Since then, regions have developed resilience plans based on their specific needs, which were coordinated and approved at the level of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
He stressed that some regions need to significantly accelerate their preparations, calling it a matter of personal responsibility at every level.
At present, regions are already receiving initial funding for priority measures, with more than UAH 22 billion allocated from the state reserve fund. Procedures have been simplified, while the ministry continues to search for additional resources.
Earlier, Kuleba held a meeting with a mission from the International Monetary Fund to discuss the financial needs of communities ahead of the upcoming heating season.
