Executives of Naftogaz of Ukraine held talks with a Greek delegation to discuss expanding cooperation on liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies.

The delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Harry Theoharis and included Greece's Ambassador to Ukraine Pantelis Alexandros Dimitrakopoulos, as well as representatives of Greek companies.

Naftogaz CEO Sergii Koretskyi shared details of the meeting on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"We discussed expanding cooperation on LNG supplies to Ukraine via Greek ports using the Vertical Gas Corridor. I thanked our partners for their support and for the projects already implemented, which were agreed upon during the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in November last year," Koretskyi said.

The parties focused in particular on opportunities to increase gas supply volumes through Greek ports, both for Ukraine and the wider Eastern European region.

Koretskyi also briefed the Greek side on the current situation in Ukraine's gas sector following the heating season, which took place under constant attacks. The discussions also covered the possibility of attracting grant and donor funding for the restoration and modernization of Ukraine's gas infrastructure.

In addition, the sides explored cooperation in diesel fuel supplies, the use of the Greek fleet, and other mutually beneficial projects.

In November 2025, Naftogaz Group signed a memorandum with ATLANTIC-SEE LNG TRADE S.A. on the joint supply of U.S.-origin liquified natural gas to Europe and Ukraine via Greek gas terminals and the Vertical Gas Corridor.
