Power outages reported in three regions after Russian strikes – Ukrenergo
Ukraine's power grid operator Ukrenergo announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"Overnight and in the morning, the enemy carried out attacks on energy facilities in several regions. As a result, as of this morning, consumers in the Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions remain without power. Emergency repair works have already begun wherever the security situation allows. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity supply to all customers as quickly as possible," the statement said.
Due to the aftermath of previous large-scale attacks on the energy system, power restrictions for industry and scheduled hourly outages for other categories of consumers are in effect across all regions from 08:00 to 21:00.
Electricity consumption as of 09:30 on Thursday was 4.3% lower than the previous day, primarily due to enforced outages nationwide.
"Please use electricity sparingly. If possible, reschedule energy-intensive activities to nighttime hours after 22:00," the system operator said.
On March 18, emergency outages were introduced in some regions, while power limitation schedules and rolling blackouts were applied across Ukraine.
