Gas prices for heat producers to remain unchanged until September 30, says Svyrydenko
According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram.
“The government has extended the special conditions for gas supply to heat producers that were in effect during the heating season. They will remain in effect during the inter-heating period until September 30, 2026,” the statement said.
According to Svyrydenko, heat supply companies will continue to receive natural gas at fixed (for the needs of the population and state institutions) rather than market prices. This will ensure their stable operation so that Ukrainian homes, hospitals, schools, and kindergartens have heat and hot water.
In addition, the government has increased fixed gas volumes for March by 10% for the needs of the population and budgetary institutions. The additional volume will allow heating companies to operate stably without the risk of shutdowns. To adjust the volumes, companies must submit their applications to Naftogaz Trading LLC by March 16.
As reported, the Cabinet of Ministers has set the price of gas for cogeneration plants operating in frontline regions at UAH 19,000 per 1,000 cubic meters.
