Ukraine delivers 1,850 tons of wheat to Pakistan

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.

“Ukraine continues to provide food assistance as part of its humanitarian initiatives: Pakistan has received 1,850 tons of wheat,” the statement said.

It is noted that Spain and the Czech Republic acted as donors.

The assistance is being provided as part of the expansion of the Grain from Ukraine program into Food from Ukraine.

“As a result of three Grain from Ukraine summits and one Food from Ukraine summit, more than USD 380 million in donor funding has been raised,” the ministry reported.

According to estimates by the World Food Programme (WFP), the delivery of Ukrainian wheat to Pakistan will help support around 26,000 people.

Since 2022, more than 324,000 tons of agricultural products, including wheat and flour, corn, peas, and oil, have been sent under Ukraine’s humanitarian initiatives to 19 countries in Africa and Asia.

As reported earlier, the Grain from Ukraine initiative was launched in 2022 by President Volodymyr Zelensky to strengthen Ukraine’s role in addressing the global food crisis.

Its core idea is to supply food packages to countries in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and other regions facing the risk of hunger. In 2025, Food from Ukraine became the next stage of this initiative.
