Fuel prices in Ukraine rising amid global oil market growth – expert
This was stated by A-95 Consulting Group Director Serhii Kuiun in a comment to Ukrinform.
“There remains potential for higher prices for gasoline and diesel due to rising procurement costs. These, in turn, are shaped by global oil and petroleum product markets, which have climbed 10% in January,” Kuiun said.
He noted that the potential increase over the next week is about UAH 1 per liter. “It is possible that prices could rise further, particularly for gasoline, where demand is strong amid limited supply,” he added.
At the same time, the expert stressed that there is no shortage of fuel resources in Ukraine’s market.
On Monday, January 26, the average price of A-95 gasoline rose by UAH 0.15 to UAH 59.71 per liter, while diesel increased by UAH 0.15 to UAH 59.39 per liter.
According to the Ministry of Energy, Ukraine’s fuel market continues to meet demand, with more than 344,000 tonnes of fuel imported since the beginning of the year.
