According to a statement by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliia Svyrydenko on Telegram, reported by Ukrinform, the Cabinet initiated the urgent termination of the mandates of a significant portion of the supervisory boards of key state energy companies during its meeting. These companies include:
- Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU);
- Tsentrenergo;
- Ukrainian Distribution Networks;
- Energy Company of Ukraine;
- Market Operator;
- Ukrainian Energy Machines.
The Cabinet also approved a transparent procedure for selecting candidates for supervisory boards. According to Svyrydenko, the new members of the supervisory boards of these companies should be chosen by the end of December.
The government also instructed the Minister of Defense to carry out a reboot of supervisory boards at enterprises in the defense sector. The Prime Minister said she expects regular reports on this.
“Resetting supervisory boards is an important step, as it is the members of these boards who are responsible for the strategic management and oversight of internal processes within the companies,” Svyrydenko emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, after a meeting with Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the mandates of a significant part of the supervisory boards of major state energy companies would be terminated today.
