Zelensky, Jeliazkov discuss energy cooperation, security in Black Sea region

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a phone call with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov discussed energy cooperation, security in the Black Sea region, and proposed launching joint weapons production.

The head of state reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"I had a conversation with Prime Minister of Bulgaria Rossen Jeliazkov. We discussed strengthening energy cooperation and agreed on steps that will enhance energy security in our region. There are concrete decisions, and we will certainly implement them. We also talked about defense cooperation and projects we can work on together. The European Union's SAFE instrument provides many opportunities for this, and I proposed to the Prime Minister joint production projects, including those aimed at enhancing security in the Black Sea," Zelensky said.

According to him, both sides agreed that Ukrainian and Bulgarian teams would work out all the details.

"Thank you for the important signals of continued support," Zelensky added.
