Ukrenergo updates information: Emergency power outages in Kyiv and eight regions
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by NPC Ukrenergo on Facebook.
“Emergency outages are currently being implemented in the city of Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and parts of the Cherkasy regions,” the statement reads.
It is noted that due to the repair work already carried out, it was possible to partially reduce the volume of restrictions for consumers in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions.
In the Chernihiv region, hourly outage schedules in two stages remain in effect due to the consequences of previous shelling.
As reported, on the night of October 10, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine’s energy facilities. Infrastructure in Kyiv and 11 regions was damaged, with electricity restrictions introduced in some of them.
The targets of the Russian strike on the night of October 10 were mainly power generation facilities on the left bank of Ukraine.
