Naftogaz CEO says over 95% of planned gas volumes stocked in storage
This was stated by Naftogaz CEO Serhii Koretsky during a briefing, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Under the plan approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, we have already fulfilled 95–97% of the task,” Koretsky said.
He noted that the accumulation of “blue fuel” is proceeding according to plan.
“I have cautious optimism that we will meet the government’s target,” Koretsky added.
The head of Naftogaz also announced that the Group plans to open a credit line, which could be used if necessary to purchase additional gas.
“We don’t want to look for new financing in an urgent situation. From the public statements of the Russians and their actual steps, it looks like attacks on energy infrastructure will continue. We need to be prepared for this,” Koretsky explained.
He emphasized that Naftogaz is diversifying its gas supply channels and negotiating new credit lines.
As reported, as of September 14, Ukraine had accumulated 12.055 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
