Norway donates over EUR 80M for humanitarian aid to Ukraine

The government of Norway has earmarked an additional EUR 84 million for humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, which is going through a severe humanitarian crisis amid the war unleashed by Russia.

This is reported by BNN with reference to the statement of Norway’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ukrinform saw.

The funds were allocated within the framework of the long-standing Nansen Support Program for Ukraine. They will be distributed through organizations such as the Norwegian Red Cross, the Refugee Council, Save the Children, NORCAP, Norwegian Church Aid, Norwegian Peopleʼs Aid, and others.

The assistance will be provided to those who have lost their homes and have impeded access to food, water, and normal living conditions. Funds will be directed to critical areas, including education, health care services, menta support, and protection of civilians.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in September, Norway allocated an additional 1 billion Norwegian kroner ($92.5 million) to provide Ukrainians with vital aid.

In October, the Ministry of Energy discussed strengthening cooperation within the framework of the Norwegian Nansen Support Program for Ukraine in the amount of 75 billion kroner.
