Estonia already allocated UAH 16M to restore bridge in Zhytomyr region

Estonia has already allocated UAH 16 million for the restoration of a bridge damaged by a Russian air strike in Malyn, Zhytomyr region.

Vitaliy Bunechko, the head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, posted this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Currently, the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV) paid for works worth almost UAH 16 million. This is about 40% of the projected assistance. Works worth almost UAH 11 million were paid with the funds of the State Road Fund. The builders assure that the works will be completed by the end of September this year," Bunechko wrote.

According to him, now the transport connection of the city, which remained divided in half, provides a temporary crossing. However, Malyn needs a new bridge on the site of the destroyed one.

The bridge restoration project is being implemented at the expense of the State Road Fund. The Estonian side has agreed to provide co-financing of EUR 1 million.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Estonian manufacturer of modular houses Harmet built a kindergarten in Ovruch, Zhytomyr region.
