Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi discussed the issue of continued operation of the Black Sea Grain Corridor with Marc Fesneau, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty of France.

As the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reports, the parties also discussed the issue of transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Europe and Ukraine–France agricultural cooperation.

According to Solskyi, Ukraine and France can fruitfully cooperate in three areas: winemaking, land reclamation, and irrigation. The minister emphasized that irrigation of agricultural lands is especially important for Ukraine after the explosion at Kakhovka HPP.

The minister noted that Ukraine greatly appreciates and feels the support of the French people and government every day and invited his French colleague to visit Ukraine.

Marc Fesneau thanked Solskyi for the invitation and expressed his full solidarity and support for Ukraine.

As reported, on March 18, 2023, Ukraine, the United Nations, and Turkey agreed to extend the Initiative for the safe transportation of agricultural products across the Black Sea. The agreement was extended for 120 days, but the Russians stated that the agreement would be valid until May 18, 2023.

On May 17, Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration and Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, announced that the agreement would be valid until July 18, 2023.
