Over the 45th week of the operation of the "grain corridor", from June 5 to 11, 2023, 651,000 tonnes of agricultural products were exported through the seaports of Odesa region, up 65% compared to the previous week.

“Thirteen ships were loaded at Ukrainian seaports last week, showing an increase of six units compared to the previous week. These vessels are loaded, but they have not yet passed the inspection to proceed further to customers and are waiting for it,” the press service of the Association “Ukrainian Agribusiness Club” (UCAB) reports.

UCAB emphasizes that such weekly shipment indicators remain below the average over the entire operation of the "grain corridor". In addition, last week, only seven vessels passed inspection at the entrance, which is a critically low indicator.

During the 45th week of operation of the "grain corridor", the major exports were: corn (share in the total structure of exports – 54%), wheat (38%), and sunflower oil (7%). Ukrainian products were sent to Asia (Israel, Bangladesh, China. and other countries), Africa (Egypt, Kenya), and Europe (Spain).

In general, since the start of the "grain corridor" initiative, from August 1, 2022 to June 11, 2023, Ukraine exported 31.6 million tonnes of agricultural products.

As reported, on March 18, 2023, Ukraine, the United Nations, and Turkey agreed to extend the "Initiative for the safe transportation of agricultural products across the Black Sea." The agreement was extended for 120 days, but the Russians stated that the agreement will be valid until May 18, 2023.

On May 17, Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, announced that the agreement will be valid until July 18, 2023.
