Ukraine can still export about 10 million tonnes of transitional grain residues from previous seasons.

"The most important task facing us for the next two months is to export those transitory residues that are still in Ukraine. According to preliminary estimates, there are about 10 million tonnes [of grain]," Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denys Marchuk told a briefing at the Ukraine Media Center–Ukrinform.

Marchuk noted that it is very important for Ukrainian producers that the grain corridor and Solidarity Lanes through which Ukraine exports food to the EU continue to work in the next season.

According to him, in the new season, which will begin in July this year, Ukraine will be able to potentially export approximately 30 million tonnes of grain.

As reported, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, in the current marketing year (from July 2022 to May 17, 2023), Ukraine has exported 43.952 million tonnes of grains and legumes, including 15.066 million tonnes of wheat, 2.598 million tonnes of barley and 25 .96 million tonnes of corn.
