After defeating the Russian aggressor on the battlefield, the reconstruction of the country will be one of the key tasks. For this, it is necessary to create a favorable tax environment.

Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak stated this in his address to the Ukrainian tax reform and anti-corruption summit, Ukrinform learned from the President's Office.

"For us, it is extremely important to attract both foreign and domestic investors to the construction of a new country. And for this, we need to create the best environment for doing business. The taxation model is one of its most important elements," Yermak noted.

The Head of the President's Office insists that in order to win, it is necessary to develop such a model of taxation which will make it possible to create the most attractive conditions for doing business among competing countries.

"It is not enough to offer tax conditions no worse than those of our neighbors. They should be much better. In the global competition for investments, Ukraine should become a champion. At the same time, our reform should remove corruption from the tax sphere once and for all," Yermak emphasized.

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, the address of the Head of the President's Office to the summit participants was read out by a moderator.

The Ukrainian tax reform and anti-corruption summit is ongoing in Kyiv on Thursday. This is a platform for discussing a new social contract between the state and business: tax reform, which will support Ukrainian business in wartime and create conditions for bringing the economy out of the shadows and overcoming corruption in the tax system. The event is held under the auspices of the President's Office.

Representatives of the President's Office, economic and tax experts are among the guests and speakers of the summit.
