Spain’s arms company, Instalaza, manufacturing rocket launchers donated to Ukraine, has also received a letter bomb, similar to one that exploded at the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid.

The relevant statement was made by Reuters, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The police confirmed that, several hours after the incident occurred at the Ukrainian embassy, an arms company in Zaragoza, northeastern Spain, also received a similar package.

The government representative in Zaragoza, Rosa Serrano, said in an interview with the SER station that the two envelopes appeared to have the same sender, since the same e-mail address was written on the back of both of them. Serrano said the packages came from Ukraine, and this is what alarmed the arms company, which called the police.

According to Serrano, the envelope that was sent to Zaragoza was 10x15 cm, and an X-ray showed the explosive charge with a wire line ready to be activated when the envelope was opened.

The Spanish police are now examining a possible link between the two incidents. Spain's High Court has opened a probe into the attack as a possible case of terrorism, a judicial source said.

A reminder that, on November 30, 2022, a commandant of the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid received minor injuries, as a letter bomb exploded in his hands. The rest of employees remained unharmed.
