Defense Forces preparing for new Russian attacks - Zelensky

The upcoming week may be as difficult as this one, but the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the state, together with partners, are preparing for it.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his address to the nation, Ukrinform reports.

"The upcoming week can be as difficult as the one that passes. Our Defense Forces are preparing. The whole state is preparing. We work out all scenarios, including with partners. And our unity with you must be ready. Therefore, please do not leave without help those whom you can help," the President said.

He emphasized that the terrorists will not stop as long as they have missiles, so Ukrainians should not ignore air raid sirens this week and help each other: the elderly, families with children, those whose homes and relatives were taken away by the war.

“All together and helping each other, we will also overcome this challenge of war: this winter, this is Russia's attempt to use the cold against people," Zelensky said.

He also informed that the situation at the front remains very difficult, in particular, in Donetsk region, as in previous weeks.

"I want to thank all our soldiers, all our heroes for their resilience today! To endure now and defend ourselves now is to endure and defend ourselves for generations to come for all Ukrainians throughout our beautiful land. We are doing and will do everything possible to strengthen our defense. We are doing and will do everything to hold Russia accountable for this war, for this terror," the President emphasized.
