The enemy shelling and damage caused to the last two high-voltage transmission lines connecting Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant with Ukraine’s energy system are another attempt made by Russian invaders to reconnect the plant to Russia’s energy system.

The relevant statement was made by Energoatom National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Yesterday’s shelling and damage caused to the last two high-voltage transmission lines connecting the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP with Ukraine’s energy system are another attempt made by rashists to reconnect the nuclear power plant to Russia’s energy system,” the report states.

According to Energoatom, in the near future, Russians will try to repair and reconnect ZNPP’s transmission lines to the temporarily occupied Crimea and eastern Ukraine.

A reminder that, on November 2, 2022, Zaporizhzhia NPP was completely de-energized due to enemy shelling. At 11:04 p.m., the plant went into full blackout mode, and all 20 diesel generators were activated.
