On October 12, 2022, nine more vessels loaded with Ukrainian-produced agricultural products left the Odesa region’s ports as part of the ‘grain initiative’.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Nine vessels loaded with more than 150,000 tonnes of agricultural products left for African, Asian and European countries from the Odesa region’s ports,” the report states.

In particular, the bulk carrier KLC ERCIYES is carrying 11.5 thousand tonnes of soybeans for Egypt, the bulk carrier SIMAS – 13.4 thousand tonnes of corn for Lebanon, and the tanker AGNES VICTORY – 42 thousand tonnes of vegetable oil for India.

Such ships as LUCKY, KLC ERCIYES, ELIF S and GREAT ARSENAL set sail from Odesa Port; SIMAS, JASMIN QUEEN and LUGANO – from Chornomorsk Port; AGNES VICTORY and EGE BEY – from Pivdennyi Port.

Since August 1, 2022, when the first ship left the Odesa region’s ports via the so-called ‘grain corridor’, a total of 325 vessels have exported 7.2 million tonnes of Ukrainian-produced agricultural products to Asian, African and European countries.
