Ukraine's state budget gets $1.5B grant from U.S. - Shmyhal

Ukraine's state budget has received the last tranche of $1.5 billion as part of the $4.5 billion aid package from the World Bank's Multi-Donor Trust Fund.

Ukraine's Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"The state budget of Ukraine received a grant of $1.5 bln. This is the last tranche of $4.5 bln aid from the U.S. from the World Bank's Trust Fund. Funds will be used to reimburse budget expenditures for pension payments & social assistance programs. Grateful to President Biden & the U.S. for supporting Ukraine," he wrote.
