Some 3.1 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported from Ukraine since the agreement on safe transportation of crops from the country’s ports was signed between Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, and the United Nations.

That’s according to the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry, Ukrinform reports.

"One and a half months into the launch of the ‘grain corridor,’ 3.1 million tonnes of agricultural products have been exported through the ports of Great Odesa," the report says.

A total of 134 ships with agricultural products bound for Asian, European, and African countries departed from Ukrainian ports.

On Wednesday, September 14, another five ships carrying 153,000 tonnes of food left the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi. They are heading for Asia and Europe.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, and UN Secretary General António Guterres in Istanbul on July 22 signed off the Initiative on the safe transportation of grain and food from the ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk, and Pivdennyi – at the suggestion of the United Nations.

The first ship loaded with Ukrainian grains left the port of Odesa on August 1.
