Russian Kh-22 missiles strike Mykolaiv Region, casualties reported

The Russian military have fired two cruise missiles at the Bereznehuvate community, Mykolaiv Region. Two detached houses were destroyed, and five civilians were injured.

The relevant statement was made by the South Operational Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Early in the morning, from the Sea of Azov, the enemy’s strategic aircraft attacked the Bereznehuvate community. Two Kh-22 cruise missiles struck the detached house suburbs. Two residential houses were destroyed. Five civilians were injured,” the report states.

In addition, last night Russian invaders fired Oniks surface-to-surface missiles from the Bastion coastal defense missile system deployed in the temporarily occupied Crimea at Voznesensk District and Mykolaiv District. The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units destroyed two enemy missiles in the air.

“One of missiles hit a 5-storey apartment block in Mykolaiv. A few neighboring residential houses were also damaged. Nine civilians were injured, and three of them were taken to hospital,” the South Operational Command noted.

In the morning of September 11, 2022, Russian troops again attacked Mykolaiv Region with three Kh-555 cruise missiles, which struck a wheat silo. A fire broke out but was promptly extinguished by firefighters. No casualties were reported.
