Minister of Justice Denys Maliuska has said Ukraine expects to receive at least $300 billion in reparations from Russia.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by DW.

“We want compensation for all the damage Russia has caused to Ukraine as a result of the war," he said.

He noted that the damage from the Russian invasion is estimated to be much higher. However, the amount he mentioned corresponds to Russian central bank assets that have been frozen in the accounts of western countries as part of the sanctions imposed against Russia.

The minister added that Ukraine intends to achieve the adoption of a UN General Assembly’s resolution, which in the future should become a basis for creating an international compensation mechanism.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the KSE, direct damage caused to Ukraine's infrastructure during the war has exceeded $114 billion.
