Russia's FSB intensifying counterintelligence near border with Ukraine

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) is intensifying counterintelligence measures in the areas bordering Ukraine in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on establishing full control over the Luhansk and Donetsk regions, maintaining control of the captured districts of the Kherson region and parts of the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions, creating favorable conditions for resuming the offensive in certain directions, and blocking Ukraine's maritime communications in the Black Sea. 

According to the report, the enemy continues to carry out air and missile strikes against Ukraine, including from Belarus.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the engineering equipment of the positions of the Russian units that arrived for rotation was recorded. Aerial reconnaissance using UAVs is conducted in order to clarify the positions of Ukrainian troops and expose Ukrainian air defense systems.

In the Kharkiv direction, artillery shelling was recorded outside Kharkiv, Dementiivka, Mospanove, Sosnivka, Udy, Cherkaski Tyshky, Staryi Saltiv, Tsyrkuny, Protopivka, Zlochiv, Ruski Tyshky, Petrivka, Pryshyb, Prudianka and Kalynove. The enemy launched an airstrike near Ruski Tyshki. In order to clarify the positions of Ukrainian troops and adjust the fire, enemy forces conducted aerial reconnaissance using drones.

In the Sloviansk direction, with the aim of finding weak points in the defense of Ukrainian units, the occupiers conducted unsuccessful assaults in the Dovhenke-Mazanivka and Pasika-Dolyna directions. Artillery shelling was recorded outside Andriivka, Nortsivka, Bohorodychne, Chepil, Velyka Komyshuvakha, Petrivske and Husarivka.

The enemy was not active in the Kramatorsk direction. Artillery was used to shell the areas of Zakitne, Verkhniokamyanske and Tetianivka. An airstrike was launched near Serebrianka.

In the Bakhmut direction, enemy forces are attempting to improve their tactical position, but Ukrainian soldiers repelled the assaults in the Klynove-Bakhmut and Myronivskyi-Semyhiria directions and forced the invaders to retreat. The enemy achieved partial success in the Vidrodzhennia-Vershyna direction and is fortifying positions southeast of the settlement of Vershyna. The attempt to advance in the Volodymyrivka-Soledar and Striapivka-Soledar directions ended in failure for the occupiers.

The enemy fired artillery outside the settlements of Bilohorivka, Mykolaivka, Nova Kamianka, Vesela Dolyna, Kodema, Semihiria and New York. Airstrikes were launched near Yakovlivka, Pokrovske and Soledar.

The enemy was not active in the Avdiivka, Novopavlivka, and Zaporizhzhia directions. In order to strengthen a grouping of enemy troops in the Zaporizhzhia direction, additional units are being moved.

Artillery shelling was recorded outside Vremivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novokalynove, Opytne, Stepnohirsk, Bilohiria, Volodymyrivka, Velyka Novosilka, Mykilske, Malynivka and Pervomaiske. The occupiers used aircraft near Avdiivka, Marinka, Pavlivka, Kamianske and Mali Shcherbaky.

In the Southern Buh direction, the enemy is concentrating its efforts on holding the occupied lines and returning lost positions in the Kryvyi Rih direction.

In the Black Sea, three carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles remain outside their bases.

In order to constrain the actions of Ukrainian defenders, the enemy used howitzers, MLRS and tanks near Trudoliubivka, Potiomkyne, Posad-Pokrovske, Andriivka, Blahodatne, Ternivka, Chervona Dolyna, Prybuzke, and Lupareve. An airstrike was launched near Novopetrivka.

Ukrainian soldiers repelled an enemy assault in the Bruskynske-Bilohirka direction. The occupiers suffered losses and retreated.
