The Kremenchuk Oil Refinery which was once again hit by Russian missiles Saturday, June 18, will not be restored this year, while talks about the repair of the local combined heat and power plant (CHPP) are yet to be held.

Poltava Regional Military Administration head Dmytro Lunin reported the news on the national telethon, as seen by Ukrinform.

“All the facilities will eventually be rebuilt in Poltava region and across Ukraine and everything will work again. Unfortunately, as I said earlier, the refinery won’ be operational this year due to considerable damage. However, the combined heat and power plant is also very important to us, because during the heating season we must supply hot water and heating. So now we will hold a meeting on this issue to assess how much the situation has deteriorated,” said the head of Poltava region.
