Mikhailo Podoliak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, stressed the need to confiscate the seized assets of the Russian Federation, as Russia, the power that is waging the war of aggression, must pay for destroyed households, lost property, massacres, and other horrific consequences of the full-scale invasion.

Podoliak wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

" The RF’s arrested assets should be confiscated today. Russia must pay for the war, destroyed houses and massacres. Pay by criminal sentences, property, arrests of sovereign accounts...The war, rising prices, refugees and famine – only the one who started it has to pay for it,” Podoliak tweeted.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the total value of assets of Russia and Belarus, seized by the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine (BEB), is worth over UAH 30 billion.

Also in Ukraine, the property, accounts and corporate rights of the Russian group of companies "Tatneft" have been seized. Their total value is estimated at UAH 2 billion.
