Ministry of Finance: Ukraine plans to attract about $20B by year-end

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine expects to attract about $20 billion from foreign partners by the end of the year.

"By the end of the year, we expect to raise an additional $20 billion. This is what we are currently negotiating," Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko said during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, Ukraine plans to attract about $4.8 billion in external financing in June, which will be a significant sum compared to May, when the Government managed to attract about $1.5 billion.

In addition, the Ministry of Finance expects to raise another $4 billion in July.

As reported, Ukraine has received more than $6 billion since in external assistance in the form of grants and loans since the start of the full-scale war. Ukraine needs an additional $5 billion a month to meet its current needs.
