Ukraine will remain in the grain market under all circumstances, including through efforts to simplify logistics between Ukraine and the EU.

That's according to Ukraine's Deputy Minister for Economic Development Taras Kachka, Ukrinform reports, referring to the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry.

"Ukraine will remain in the grain market under any circumstances. This is not a mantra - this is a reality. Efforts to simplify logistics between Ukraine and the EU will bear fruit. But the most important thing is that we will remain on the market as long as the world of commerce feeds the flow of grain with agreements," said Kachka, speaking at the GrainCom 22 conference in Geneva.

He discussed with representatives of the World Trade Organization and the World Food Program the current situation with Ukrainian grain exports.

In particular, they spoke about significant progress in grain exports to the EU recently. However, in order for Ukraine to fully guarantee food security to the world and fulfill all contractual obligations, it must restore access to its seaports.

Therefore, according to Kachka, the problem of food security needs political solutions, "Operation Ocean Shield in the Strait of Aden is increasingly mentioned in the context of the problem of unblocking Ukrainian ports."

The conference participants reaffirmed their position on condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine and stressed that they would use their political influence on the international community to talk about the threat of world hunger due to the disruption of Ukraine's exports, helping create conditions for the unblocking of Black Sea ports.
