In two villages of the Melitopol district in Zaporizhia region, Russian troops are demanding that shop owners stop selling Ukrainian goods and switch to the Russian rouble.

This was reported on Telegram by the press service of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, according to Ukrinform.

In the villages of Botieve and Strohanivka, Melitopol district, the Russian occupiers’ Commandant Office demands that local entrepreneurs reopen their shops, cafes, and other catering and entertainment facilities. One of the conditions for their safe operation is abandoning Ukrainian goods. At the same time, shop owners are urged to sell goods produced in the occupied Crimea, as well as start introducing a ‘rouble zone,’” the statement reads.

According to Vasylivka residents, the number of Russian servicemen has increased significantly in the city. They are stationed in residential areas, hiding behind civilians, using the latter as human shields. It is also known that the invaders distribute humanitarian aid and medications only among those who openly support the occupation and promote their criminal actions. At the same time, a significant number of local residents refuse to cooperate with the Russian invaders.

As Ukrinform reported, on April 28, in the south of Ukraine, Special Operations Forces destroyed a bridge that had served as an important route for weapons and ammo supply from the temporarily occupied Crimea to the enemy strongpoint in Melitopol.
