Average monthly salary in agricultural sector grew by 18%

In January-September 2021, the average monthly salary in the Ukrainian agricultural sector grew by 18% compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

According to the data provided by the State Statistics Service, the average monthly salary in the agricultural sector amounted to UAH 11,823 (per a full time employee) in September, which is 1.2% more compared to August. Among the regions, the highest wages in the agricultural sector were recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Luhansk, Lviv and Kyiv regions.

The average monthly salary of full-time employees in food, beverages and tobacco manufacturing sector rose by 14.2% in January-September 2021 compared to the same period last year. The average salary totaled UAH 12,561 in September, which is 1.4% more than in the previous month. The highest salaries in this sector were recorded Kyiv city, as well as in Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, Kyiv and Poltava regions.

As reported, in September 2021, the average nominal salary of Ukrainians was 18.7% higher than the one they received in September 2020, and amounted to UAH 14,239.
