Zelensky approves strategy for development of defense-industrial complex

The head of state signed Decree No. 372/2021 "On the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated June 18, 2021 ‘On the Strategy for the Development of the Defense Industrial Complex of Ukraine’."

The strategy defines the priority directions of the state military-industrial policy, the goals of the reform of the defense-industrial complex, and the expected results of their achievement, taking into account the current threats and challenges.

On the basis of this document, state programs for the development of the defense-industrial complex and import substitution will be prepared.

The Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine will provide an annual public report on the implementation of the strategy.

According to the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine was instructed to approve the action plan for the implementation of the strategy and to inform annually by March 31 about the results of its implementation.

The NSDC secretary was entrusted to monitor the implementation of the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, put into effect by this decree.
